Our Governing Body

Welcome to our Governors’ section. School Governors play a fundamental role in leading the school, making decisions and improving standards of teaching and learning at Thythorn Field Primary School.

Our School Governors
The Governing Body comprises of a number of people from a range of backgrounds and professions, ensuring diversity and a wealth of experience. School Governors are represented by Parents Governors, Staff Governors, Local Authority Governors and Co-opted Governors.

Governing Body Committees and Working Groups
The Governing Body meets as a full governing board (all meetings chaired by the Chair of Governors) to address three key areas: Finance and Resources, Standards and Leadership and Safeguarding, Health and Safety. Each area addresses a range of regulations and responsibilities, ensuring the school complies to all mandatory expectations in these areas. 

There is a separate Pay Committee which oversees performance management and other pay related matters. Please see the Terms Of Reference Document for further details.  The Pay Committee is chaired by Dr T J Ragan.

All Governors are full members of the governing board and have full voting rights.
